Health Reporting Role

The Health Reporting Role identifies responsibility for reporting the operational condition of an FX logical Node.

This role includes reporting lifecycle state, health status, availability, degradation, failure, recovery progress, warning conditions, timestamp, and status reason.

The Health Reporting Role participates primarily in the FX Logical Health and Observability Plane. It also supports the FX Logical Control Plane when health observations trigger commands or recovery coordination, and it supports the FX Logical Audit and Provenance Plane when status records support review or evidence.

Specialization of Logical Node Role from Part 2: Distributed Node-Based Logical Architecture, Section 6.4, Logical Health and Observability Plane from Part 2: Distributed Node-Based Logical Architecture, Section 9.4, and Health and Observability Plane from Part 1: Conceptual Architecture, Section 8.4; generalised from health monitoring, Node status, heartbeat, and observability material in the original FX Demo Reference Architecture.

The Health Reporting Role does not prescribe a metrics tool, dashboard, telemetry format, log format, DDS status topic, REST endpoint, RPC method, or monitoring API.

An FX Validation Node performs the Health Reporting Role when it reports that its lifecycle state changed from Running to Degraded.
