TWIN-002b — Support Multiple Twin Realizations
Statement
The DIDO-TE SHALL support association of more than one Twin Realization with the same Twin Identity.
Source
-
[DTE1] U.S. Patent Application US20220237111A1, virtual and physical Twin Node concepts and identifiers shared among Twin Nodes
-
[DTE2] Non-Traditional BAA Submission, F17, Twin Nodes Selection
Rationale
The source material distinguishes multiple realizations of the same logical twin, including virtual and physical or real-world Twin Nodes.
Allowing more than one Twin Realization to reference the same Twin Identity allows the DIDO-TE to select among alternative realizations without changing the logical twin represented by a test.
This multiplicity also supports comparison of behavior or results produced by different Twin Realizations associated with the same Twin Identity.
Applies To
Verification
Verification confirms that:
-
A Twin Identity can be associated with at least two distinct Twin Realizations.
-
Each associated Twin Realization retains its own Twin Realization Identifier.
-
Each associated Twin Realization references the same Twin Identifier.
-
Twin Realizations associated with the same Twin Identity may have different Twin Realization Types.
-
Adding another Twin Realization does not change the Twin Identity or the identifiers of existing Twin Realizations.
Verification includes a Twin Identity associated with at least one virtual Twin Realization and one physical or real-world Twin Realization.
Traceability
ConOps Relationship
This requirement supports registration and management of alternative Twin Realizations that represent the same logical twin and supports later selection or comparison of those realizations during Test Execution.
