TWIN-002a — Associate a Twin Realization with a Twin Identity
Statement
The DIDO-TE SHALL associate each Twin Realization with exactly one Twin Identity.

Rationale
A Twin Realization represents a particular realization of a logical twin. Associating the realization with a Twin Identity establishes which logical twin the realization represents.
The association separates the semantic identity of the twin from the identity and implementation characteristics of the individual realization.
Requiring one Twin Identity for each Twin Realization prevents a single realization from ambiguously representing multiple logical twins at the same time.
Applies To
Verification
Verification confirms that:
-
Each Twin Realization references one Twin Identity.
-
A Twin Realization without an associated Twin Identity is rejected.
-
A Twin Realization cannot simultaneously reference more than one Twin Identity.
-
The association resolves to the Twin Identifier assigned to the associated Twin Identity.
-
Two or more Twin Realizations may independently reference the same Twin Identity.
Verification includes inspection of at least one Twin Identity associated with multiple Twin Realizations and an attempted association of one Twin Realization with more than one Twin Identity.
Traceability
ConOps Relationship
This requirement supports registration of a Twin Realization and establishes the logical twin represented by that realization before Configuration, selection, state acquisition, synchronization, or Test Execution occurs.
