ENV-001k — Define Version and Baseline Information
Statement
The DIDO-TE SHALL define the version and Baseline information for each element included in a Test Environment.
Derived From
-
[DTE5] DIDO-TE Requirements Register, source requirement identifier and obligation to be assigned
Rationale
Defining version and Baseline information establishes the precise state of each element included in a Test Environment.
The recorded information supports reproducible instantiation, comparison between Test Environments, controlled change, and evaluation of whether a version or Baseline difference influenced a Test Execution or Test Result.
The information also preserves traceability between the Test Environment definition, its instantiated state, and the resulting Evidence.
Applies To
Verification
Verification confirms that:
-
Each element included in a Test Environment has defined version information.
-
Each element included in a Test Environment has an identified Baseline association.
-
The defined version and Baseline information corresponds to the instantiated element.
-
The Test Environment definition identifies the Baseline governing its complete composition and Configuration.
-
Missing, undefined, or inconsistent version or Baseline information constitutes nonconformance with this requirement.
Verification includes:
-
Inspection of the controlled information for each Test Environment
-
Inspection of the version information for each included element
-
Inspection of the Baseline associations for each included element
-
Inspection of the Baseline governing the complete Test Environment
-
Comparison of the defined version and Baseline information with the instantiated Test Environment
-
A negative assessment using an element with missing or inconsistent version or Baseline information
-
Confirmation that the negative assessment produces a nonconformance result
