FR-AG-001 — Disconnected Deployment Operations

Crucible SHALL perform Deployment Operations within Disconnected Environments.

This requirement derives from:

• Crucible System Requirements Specification, Version 1.1 Draft, Functional Requirements, FR-AG-001

The Original Requirement states:

The system shall support disconnected deployment operations.[C1]

FR-AG-001:

• Replaces The system with the defined system name Crucible
• Changes shall to the established uppercase normative form SHALL
• Replaces the weak verb support with the observable behavior perform
• Uses the defined Deployment Operation concept
• Uses the defined Disconnected Environment concept

No other substantive normalization is required.

A Disconnected Environment operates without direct electronic communication with specified external systems, services, repositories, Providers, or networks.

Performing Deployment Operations within such an environment requires the necessary software, Dependencies, configuration information, credentials, repositories, and Artifacts to be locally available or otherwise accessible within the permitted operational boundary.

This requirement establishes disconnected deployment behavior without prescribing:

• The Deployment Operation
• The deployment subjects
• The external systems from which the environment is disconnected
• The transfer mechanism
• Dependency Capture
• Artifact export
• Artifact import
• Transfer Authorization
• Transfer Bundle Integrity
• Baseline synchronization
• Air-gapped operation

Separate requirements, workflows, or policies define those subjects and behaviors.

This requirement applies to:

• Crucible
• Deployment Operations
• Disconnected Environments
• Disconnected deployment workflows

Verification confirms that:

1. A Disconnected Environment is selected for testing
2. A Deployment Operation is selected for testing
3. Crucible performs the tested Deployment Operation within the Disconnected Environment
4. The Deployment Operation completes without relying on direct electronic communication prohibited by the defined disconnected boundary
5. The result of the tested Deployment Operation can be determined

Do not add Artifact export, Artifact import, Dependency Capture, synchronization, Transfer Authorization, Transfer Bundle Integrity, specific deployment subjects, or Air-Gapped Environment obligations unless the controlling requirement changes through an approved requirements process.

A Disconnected Environment can retain internal connectivity. This requirement does not equate disconnected operation with operation in an Air-Gapped Environment.
