Return to Structured Information Processing Reference Architecture (SIP-RA) Request for Proposal

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for a Platform Independent Model (PIM) defining a Reference Architecture (RA) governing the controlled processing of structured information artefacts.

The requested architecture addresses the separation of data, structure, semantics, and interpretation within mission-critical and regulated environments, including defence and security domains operating across jurisdictional boundaries.

A Reference Architecture, as requested by this RFP, defines abstract architectural constructs, roles, boundaries, interface contracts, governance mechanisms, and conformance points at the platform-independent level. It establishes separation of concerns and lifecycle control for structural and semantic artefacts.

A Reference Architecture does not prescribe implementation technologies, deployment topologies, transport protocols, domain-specific data models, or specific ontologies.
