Audit and provenance state records SHALL preserve the logical history of FX lifecycle processing.

Audit and provenance state records provide the architectural evidence required to reconstruct and understand the logical progression of FX transaction and contract processing. Preserving the logical history of lifecycle activities supports auditability, traceability, accountability, replay, reconstruction, and defensibility while remaining independent of implementation-specific storage technologies, logging mechanisms, or persistence strategies.

Maintaining these records as logical architectural concepts enables multiple Implementation Profiles to realize equivalent evidence capabilities while preserving consistent architectural meaning.

This requirement applies to all audit and provenance state records defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

• audit records;
• provenance records;
• lifecycle history;
• architectural governance;
• evidence generation; and
• derived Implementation Profiles.

Verification SHALL confirm that audit and provenance state records preserve the logical history of FX lifecycle processing.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

• lifecycle history is preserved;
• audit information is represented;
• provenance information is represented;
• replay and reconstruction are supported; and
• implementation-specific persistence mechanisms are not prescribed.

This requirement establishes the logical evidence history maintained throughout the FX lifecycle.
