Return to Requirements

Statement

The FX Logical Governance Model SHALL remain independent of repositories, workflow tools, requirements-management systems, policy engines, rules engines, access-control products, ticketing systems, approval systems, configuration services, runtime registries, and deployment mechanisms.

Source

Part 3, Section 17.10: FX Logical Governance Requirements.

Rationale

The FX Logical Governance Model defines architectural governance concepts rather than the technologies used to implement governance. Prescribing repositories, workflow tools, requirements-management systems, policy engines, approval systems, configuration services, runtime registries, or deployment mechanisms would unnecessarily couple the logical architecture to particular implementation choices and reduce portability.

Maintaining this separation preserves the platform-independent nature of the FX Demo Logical Profile and enables multiple Implementation Profiles to realize equivalent governance capabilities using different organizational processes and technology stacks while preserving the same architectural meaning.

Applies To

This requirement applies to the entire FX Logical Governance Model and all derived Implementation Profiles.

It applies specifically to:

Verification
