Logical Versioning SHALL identify versions of logical definitions, logical relationships, and logical constraints.

Part 2, Section 16.8: Logical Governance Requirements.

Logical Versioning provides the ability to manage architectural evolution while preserving continuity and compatibility. Identifying versions of logical definitions, relationships, and constraints supports governance, change management, impact analysis, and traceability across successive revisions of the Logical Architecture.

This requirement applies to Logical Versioning.

It applies specifically to:

• Logical definitions;
• Logical relationships;
• Logical constraints; and
• Logical Governance Model.

Verification SHALL confirm that Logical Versioning identifies versions of logical definitions, logical relationships, and logical constraints.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

• logical versions are explicitly identified;
• version relationships are maintained;
• versioning supports change management; and
• Logical Versioning remains platform independent.

This requirement supports traceability between successive versions of logical definitions, logical relationships, and logical constraints.
