The DIDO-TE SHALL verify each preserved representation of Node state against the preservation criteria specified by the governing Test Definition.
Verification determines whether a preserved Node-state representation satisfies the completeness, consistency, integrity, identity, context, compatibility, accessibility, and usability criteria specified by the governing Test Definition.
Verification confirms that the representation contains the required state information and remains associated with the correct Node, preservation point, Node Definition, Node Implementation, Node Configuration, Test Environment, and Test Execution.
Verification also confirms that the representation remains usable for its specified purpose. A representation sufficient for analysis or Evidence may not contain the information required to restore the Node.
Verification occurs after capture and before the DIDO-TE relies on the representation for reconstruction, comparison, restoration, Test Results, or Evidence. The governing Test Definition may also require repeated verification during retention or before a later use.
A representation that fails verification remains distinguishable from a verified representation and does not support a purpose for which it has not been verified.
