Measurement Workload
Discussion
A Measurement Workload describes the operations presented to a Workload or another measured entity while its Performance is measured.
A Measurement Workload may characterize requests, transactions, events, data volume, concurrency, arrival pattern, duration, or another aspect of the work presented. It identifies applied operations rather than the deployable or operational computing subject identified by Workload.

Note
-
A Measurement Workload identifies the operations presented, not the entity receiving them or the resulting Performance
-
Equivalent Measurement Workloads need not contain identical operations when the governing Performance Criterion defines an acceptable equivalence
-
Measurement Workload characteristics needed for interpretation or reproduction are recorded with the applicable Performance Measurement context
Example
A Measurement Workload may consist of 10,000 transactions presented to a transaction-processing Workload at 100 transactions per second for 100 seconds.
