SIP-043 — Integrated Submission Document

The specification MAY be submitted as a single integrated document.

Allowing a single integrated document gives Submitters the option to present the architectural model, definitions, rationale, conformance material, and supporting information as one coordinated specification.

This permission concerns document organization only. It does not reduce the required content or alter the requirements that the Submission must address.

A Submission exercising this option demonstrates that:

  1. The complete proposed Reference Architecture specification is provided as one integrated document
  2. Required architectural models and supporting material can be located within the document
  3. Responses to the applicable RFP requirements can be identified
  4. The document provides sufficient organization and navigation for evaluation
  5. Use of the integrated format does not omit or weaken required specification content

A Submission does not fail this provision solely because its specification is organized as a coordinated set of documents or artifacts rather than as one integrated document.

This is a permissive requirement. `MAY` authorizes a single integrated document but does not require that format.

SIP-042 governs the completeness of the specification regardless of how its documents or artifacts are organized.
