SIP-006 — Ordered Modular Processing Flows

The processing-flow Model SHALL define ordered processing flows composed of modular components connected through governed interaction constructs.

Structured information may pass through multiple processing components before producing an outcome. The order of processing affects which Structures, Semantics, rules, transformations, and Interpretations apply.

Representing the processing flow as an ordered composition of modular components makes processing behavior explicit and reviewable. Modularity allows components to be reused, replaced, independently realized, or governed without redefining the complete processing flow.

Governed interaction constructs provide controlled connections between components and prevent processing dependencies from remaining hidden within implementation-specific integration logic.

The Submission satisfies this requirement when the processing-flow Model:

1. Represents a processing flow as an identifiable architectural construct
2. Defines the modular components participating in the flow
3. Represents the processing order and dependencies among participating components
4. Defines the interaction constructs connecting the components
5. Identifies the structured information accepted and produced by each participating component
6. Associates applicable Governance constraints with the components or their interactions
7. Supports replacement or reuse of a component without requiring redefinition of unrelated components
8. Supports Traceability through the ordered processing flow

Ordered does not require every processing flow to be a single linear sequence. The processing-flow Model may represent conditional paths, parallel processing, iteration, and other ordering relationships when their behavior and dependencies remain explicit.

SIP-006 defines the composition and ordering of processing behavior. SIP-005 separately defines the architectural representation of structured information flow between elements.
