11.2 Control Plane Realization
Go To Phase 0 Runtime Plane Realization
The Phase 0 implementation realizes the FX Logical Control Plane through implementation artifacts that support operational coordination among implementation participants.
Control Plane realization includes:
-
implementation of Node registration or capability reporting;
-
control commands;
-
command acknowledgements;
-
lifecycle-state coordination;
-
retry, pause, resume, stop, restart, or report-status requests;
-
compatibility or configuration coordination, where Phase 0 requires it; and
-
traceability from control interactions to the FX logical Nodes and Node Roles involved.
Phase 0 maps Control Plane information primarily to DDS Topics such as Control.FX.ControlCommand and Control.FX.CommandAcknowledgement. It also uses supporting configuration artifacts, scripts, logging conventions, and exception-handling conventions to preserve Control Plane context.
Control Plane artifacts coordinate implementation behavior. They do not carry the FX domain truth as their primary purpose. FX transaction information, validation results, semantic assertions, contract states, and cash-flow obligations belong primarily to the Data Plane.
