8.3 Implementation Artifact Categories for Nodes
Go To Mapping from FX Logical Nodes to Implementation Artifacts
Phase 0 uses several implementation artifact categories to realize FX logical Nodes.
Table 8-1: Implementation artifact categories for FX logical Nodes.
| Artifact Category | Phase 0 Purpose |
|---|---|
| Implementation Node module | Contains the hand-authored implementation logic for a selected FX logical Node or Node Role. |
| Process entry point | Starts a selected implementation participant for demonstration or execution. |
| Supporting module | Provides shared implementation behavior such as logging, configuration, DDS helper functions, validation helpers, or traceability helpers. |
| Configuration artifact | Provides implementation settings, Topic references, Quality of Service (QoS) references, Node identity values, or runtime parameters. |
| DDS participant configuration | Supports DDS participant, publisher, subscriber, Topic, or Quality of Service (QoS) configuration where Phase 0 requires it. |
| Script | Starts, stops, checks, generates, or coordinates implementation artifacts. |
| Traceability record | Identifies the mapping from an implementation artifact back to the FX logical Node or Node Role it realizes. |
| Developer Handbook rule | Defines implementation discipline for coding, file headers, logging, exception handling, naming, review, and repository workflow. |
