7.1 Overview

The core conceptual elements define the basic architectural vocabulary used by the Financial Systems Archetype. These elements describe participants, Node Roles, Node Identities, Communication Endpoints, information structures, Runtime Plane classifications, Evidence, and Traceability before later parts map them to Logical Model (LM)s, implementation artefacts, deployment artefacts, or Evidence packages. Figure 7.1-1 summarises the primary relationships among the core conceptual elements defined in this section.

A Node participates in the architecture through a stable Node Identity, one or more Node Roles, one or more Runtime Planes, and one or more Communication Endpoints. Communication Endpoints carry Data Structure Instances. Each Data Structure Instance conforms to its Data Structure Definition. Traceability and Evidence apply across these relationships, enabling later parts to relate conceptual elements to Logical Model (LM)s, implementation artefacts, deployment artefacts, and observed results.
