Conformance Point

A conformance point is an objectively identifiable location where compliance with a defined architectural requirement is inspected or evaluated.

A conformance point supports repeatable evaluation by linking a requirement to an observable architectural location, artifact, behavior, interface, boundary, or evidence source.

A conformance point differs from a general design feature. A design feature describes a characteristic of an implementation. A conformance point identifies where an evaluator inspects or evaluates compliance with the Reference Architecture (RA).

A conformance point provides a stable inspection location for evaluating implementation compliance with an architectural requirement.
