P1-REQ-13-10-001
Statement
A Domain Profile SHALL preserve the conceptual definitions inherited from this part.
Source
Part 1, Section 13.10: Profile and Layering Requirements.
Rationale
A Domain Profile specializes conceptual architecture for a particular domain context. It inherits conceptual definitions from Part 1 and applies them to a narrower domain scope.
This requirement prevents domain-specific material from changing the meaning of inherited conceptual elements. It supports consistent interpretation across the Conceptual Architecture, Domain Profiles, logical models, implementation profiles, deployment profiles, and evidence material.
Applies To
This requirement applies to Domain Profiles that inherit conceptual definitions from Part 1.
It applies specifically to:
-
Domain Profile content
-
Inherited conceptual definitions
-
Domain-specific specialization
-
Cross-part consistency
-
Conceptual traceability
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that each Domain Profile preserves the conceptual definitions inherited from Part 1.
Verification activities include review checks confirming that:
-
Domain Profile terms trace to inherited conceptual definitions
-
Domain-specific specialization preserves inherited meaning
-
Domain Profile material does not redefine inherited conceptual elements
-
Domain Profile changes identify new domain-specific terms separately from inherited conceptual terms
