A Real-World Node identifies the actual Node, system, device, service, or environment that exists outside the representation used by a test or simulation. The term does not require the Node to be implemented solely using physical hardware. A real-world operational Node may itself use virtual machines, containers, cloud services, software-defined infrastructure, or other implementation technologies.
