Governance establishes the authorities, responsibilities, decision-making processes, and controls that direct, oversee, and maintain an identified subject throughout its lifecycle.

Governance provides the framework within which policies, requirements, standards, procedures, and decisions are created, approved, applied, monitored, and revised.

In DIDO Solutions architectures, Governance ensures that architectural artefacts, implementations, configurations, semantic definitions, and operational activities remain subject to defined authority, accountability, and change control.

Management plans, coordinates, and performs activities within the governance framework.

A governance body approves changes to a Reference Architecture, while project management coordinates implementation of the approved changes.
