FX Registry and Coordination Node
Discussion
The FX Registry and Coordination Node supports registration, capability advertisement, compatibility awareness, and control-plane coordination across the FX logical node network.
The FX Registry and Coordination Node performs registry and coordination responsibilities. It receives Node registration information, records supported roles and endpoints, records supported information-structure versions, supports compatibility review, and coordinates control-plane commands or operational requests when the logical profile requires those interactions.
The FX Registry and Coordination Node participates primarily in the FX Logical Control Plane. It also supports the FX Logical Health and Observability Plane when registration includes lifecycle or availability information.
Definition
responsible for registration, capability advertisement, compatibility awareness, and control-plane coordination
Source
Specialization of Logical Node from Part 2: Distributed Node-Based Logical Architecture, Section 6.2, Logical Admission Rules from Part 2: Distributed Node-Based Logical Architecture, Section 11.6, and Control Plane from Part 1: Conceptual Architecture, Section 8.2; generalised from service registration, capability advertisement, control-plane, and coordination material in the original FX Demo Reference Architecture.
Note
The FX Registry and Coordination Node does not prescribe a service registry, discovery mechanism, configuration server, orchestration system, directory, database, or runtime control service.
Example
The FX Registry and Coordination Node records that the FX Cash-Flow Computation Node supports a specific FX Cash-Flow Obligation definition version and a specific cash-flow computation role.
