FX Node Status Endpoint
Discussion
The FX Node Status Endpoint carries operational status information from FX logical Nodes to the FX Health and Observability Node or other authorized monitoring participants.
The endpoint supports health reporting, operational awareness, recovery coordination, audit, and evidence expectations. It carries FX Node Status information that identifies Logical Node Identity, lifecycle state, health condition, status reason, timestamp, and provenance or evidence reference.
The FX Node Status Endpoint participates primarily in the FX Logical Health and Observability Plane. It also relates to the FX Logical Control Plane when status reports trigger commands or recovery coordination.
Definition
Communication Endpoint carrying operational status information for FX logical Nodes
Source
Specialization of Logical Communication Endpoint from Part 2: Distributed Node-Based Logical Architecture, Section 7.2, Logical Health and Observability Plane from Part 2: Distributed Node-Based Logical Architecture, Section 9.4, and Health and Observability Plane from Part 1: Conceptual Architecture, Section 8.4; generalised from node status, heartbeat, health monitoring, and observability material in the original FX Demo Reference Architecture.
Note
The FX Node Status Endpoint does not prescribe a metrics endpoint, dashboard, telemetry format, log format, DDS status topic, REST endpoint, RPC method, or monitoring API.
Example
The FX Validation Node publishes an FX Node Status indicating a transition from Running to Degraded.
