TWIN-001b — Preserve Twin Identity Across Realizations
Statement
The DIDO-TE SHALL associate every Twin Realization of the same Twin Identity with the same Twin Identifier.
Source
-
[DTE1] U.S. Patent Application US20220237111A1, virtual and physical Twin Node concepts and identifiers shared among Twin Nodes
-
[DTE2] Non-Traditional BAA Submission, F17, Twin Nodes Selection
Rationale
A Twin Identity represents the logical twin independently of any particular Twin Realization.
The source material permits multiple realizations of the same twin, including virtual and physical or real-world realizations. Preserving the same Twin Identifier across those realizations allows a Test Execution to select or substitute a realization without changing the logical participant represented by the test.
This separation also supports comparing results from different Twin Realizations of the same Twin Identity.
Applies To
Verification
Verification confirms that:
-
Two or more Twin Realizations associated with the same Twin Identity reference the same Twin Identifier.
-
Selection of a different Twin Realization for a Test Execution preserves the Twin Identifier.
-
Replacement or removal of a Twin Realization does not alter the Twin Identifier assigned to the Twin Identity.
-
A Twin Realization associated with a different Twin Identity does not reference the Twin Identifier assigned to the first Twin Identity.
Verification includes inspection of a Twin Identity associated with at least two Twin Realizations and execution of a realization-selection or substitution test.
Traceability
ConOps Relationship
This requirement supports ConOps activities that select or substitute among alternative Twin Realizations while preserving the identity of the logical twin represented within the Test Execution.
