NOD-003d — Establish Node Bindings
Statement
The DIDO-TE SHALL establish each Node Binding required by a configured Node.
Derived From
-
[DTE5] DIDO-TE Requirements Register, source requirement identifier and obligation to be assigned
Rationale
A Node Binding associates a configured Node with an Interface, Endpoint, Service, resource, Dependency, communication channel, data source, data destination, Credential, Policy, or other external participant required for operation.
The Node Binding identifies both participants, the relationship between them, and the conditions governing their interaction. This permits the DIDO-TE to determine whether the intended Node communicates with the intended counterpart through an approved mechanism.
An absent, incorrect, incompatible, ambiguous, or unauthorized Node Binding may direct data or control to the wrong participant, prevent required interaction, or compromise Test Environment isolation.
