ENV-003a — Apply Required Baseline
Statement
Before each Test Execution, the DIDO-TE SHALL apply the required Baseline to the applicable Test Environment.
Derived From
-
[DTE5] DIDO-TE Requirements Register, source requirement identifier and obligation to be assigned
Rationale
Applying the required Baseline establishes the controlled collection and state of the artifacts, components, dependencies, data, services, and supporting resources required for a Test Execution.
The applied Baseline provides a defined reference against which the instantiated Test Environment and resulting Test Results are assessed.
Applying the same required Baseline across repeated Test Executions supports Reproducibility, Comparability, and Traceability.
Applies To
Verification
Verification confirms that:
-
The controlled descriptive information identifies the required Baseline for the Test Environment.
-
The DIDO-TE applies the required Baseline before each Test Execution.
-
The applied Baseline identifies each applicable artifact, component, dependency, data set, service, and Test Resource.
-
Each element of the instantiated Test Environment corresponds to the required Baseline.
-
The DIDO-TE records the identity and version of the applied Baseline.
-
The DIDO-TE maintains Traceability among the required Baseline, its constituent elements, the Test Environment, and the applicable Test Execution.
-
A missing, incorrect, superseded, incomplete, or untraceable Baseline constitutes nonconformance with this requirement.
Verification includes:
-
Inspection of the controlled descriptive information identifying the required Baseline
-
Inspection of the applied Baseline and its constituent elements
-
Comparison of the instantiated Test Environment with the required Baseline
-
Inspection of the Baseline identity and version records
-
Inspection of Traceability records connecting the Baseline, Test Environment, and Test Execution
-
A negative assessment using a missing, incorrect, superseded, incomplete, or untraceable Baseline
-
Confirmation that the negative assessment produces a nonconformance result
