ENV-002j — Apply Version and Baseline Information
Statement
The DIDO-TE SHALL apply the specified version and Baseline information to each applicable element of a Test Environment before Test Execution.
Derived From
-
[DTE5] DIDO-TE Requirements Register, source requirement identifier and obligation to be assigned
Rationale
Applying the specified version and Baseline information identifies the controlled state of each applicable Test Object, Node, Test Resource, software component, dependency, data set, configuration artifact, and supporting service within a Test Environment.
The applied information establishes correspondence between each specified element and the instance used during Test Execution.
Recording this correspondence supports Traceability, Reproducibility, and assessment of whether a version or Baseline difference influenced a Test Result.
Applies To
Verification
Verification confirms that:
-
The DIDO-TE identifies the specified version and Baseline information for each applicable Test Environment element.
-
The DIDO-TE applies the specified version and Baseline information to each applicable element.
-
Each instantiated or provisioned element corresponds to its specified version and Baseline.
-
The applied information uniquely identifies the controlled state of each applicable element.
-
The DIDO-TE records the applied version and Baseline information as part of the resulting Test Environment Configuration.
-
The DIDO-TE maintains Traceability among each specified element, its version and Baseline information, and its instantiated or provisioned state.
-
A missing, incorrect, superseded, inconsistent, or untraceable version or Baseline constitutes nonconformance with this requirement.
Verification includes:
-
Inspection of the version and Baseline information specified for the Test Environment
-
Inspection of the version and Baseline information applied to each applicable element
-
Comparison of each instantiated or provisioned element with its specified version and Baseline
-
Inspection of the resulting Test Environment Configuration
-
Inspection of Traceability records connecting each specified element to its instantiated or provisioned state
-
A negative assessment using a missing, incorrect, superseded, inconsistent, or untraceable version or Baseline
-
Confirmation that the negative assessment produces a nonconformance result
