ENV-002e — Apply Configuration Values
Statement
The DIDO-TE SHALL apply each specified Configuration value to the applicable element of a Test Environment before Test Execution.
Derived From
-
[DTE5] DIDO-TE Requirements Register, source requirement identifier and obligation to be assigned
Rationale
Applying each specified Configuration value establishes the required operating state of every configurable element within a Test Environment.
The applied values govern the behaviour of Test Objects, Nodes, Test Resources, communication mechanisms, and supporting services during Test Execution.
Recording and verifying the applied values supports controlled execution, Reproducibility, and assessment of whether a Configuration difference influenced a Test Result.
Applies To
Verification
Verification confirms that:
-
The DIDO-TE identifies every Configuration value specified for the Test Environment.
-
The DIDO-TE applies each specified Configuration value to its applicable Test Environment element.
-
Each applied Configuration value has the specified name, value, data type, unit, format, and scope, when applicable.
-
Each configured element exposes or otherwise provides evidence of its applied Configuration values.
-
The DIDO-TE records the applied Configuration values as part of the resulting Test Environment Configuration.
-
The DIDO-TE maintains Traceability between each specified Configuration value and its applied value.
-
A missing, incorrect, invalid, or untraceable Configuration value constitutes nonconformance with this requirement.
Verification includes:
-
Inspection of the Configuration values specified for the Test Environment
-
Inspection of the Configuration values applied to each applicable Test Environment element
-
Comparison of each applied Configuration value with its controlled specification
-
Inspection of the resulting Test Environment Configuration
-
Inspection of Traceability records connecting each specified Configuration value to its applied value
-
A negative assessment using a missing, incorrect, invalid, or untraceable Configuration value
-
Confirmation that the negative assessment produces a nonconformance result
