ENV-002a — Apply Controlled Descriptive Information

The DIDO-TE SHALL apply the controlled descriptive information defined for a Test Environment when configuring the Test Environment.

• [DTE7] Federated Data Interpretation Systems Reference Architecture (FDIS-RA)

Applying the controlled descriptive information establishes correspondence between the defined Test Environment and its configured state.

The controlled information provides the authoritative basis for selecting, instantiating, provisioning, connecting, constraining, and configuring the elements included in the Test Environment.

Applying this information supports consistent configuration, Reproducibility, and assessment of whether the configured Test Environment conforms to its definition.

Verification confirms that:

• The DIDO-TE identifies the controlled descriptive information governing each Test Environment.
• The DIDO-TE applies the identified information when configuring the Test Environment.
• The resulting Configuration corresponds to the controlled descriptive information.
• The DIDO-TE maintains Traceability between the controlled descriptive information and the resulting Configuration.
• Missing, superseded, or unapplied controlled descriptive information constitutes nonconformance with this requirement.

Verification includes:

• Inspection of the controlled descriptive information for each Test Environment
• Inspection of the resulting Test Environment Configuration
• Comparison of the resulting Configuration with the controlled descriptive information
• Inspection of Traceability records connecting the descriptive information to the resulting Configuration
• A negative assessment using missing, superseded, or unapplied descriptive information
• Confirmation that the negative assessment produces a nonconformance result
