18.2 Environment Acceptance Criteria

The development or test environment satisfies Phase 0 acceptance when it meets the applicable tool Baseline checklist instance and passes prerequisite validation.

Environment acceptance requires:

  1. The applicable tool Baseline checklist instance identifies the required products, platforms, implementations, acceptable version ranges, applicable roles, verification commands, and Evidence references.
  2. Required tools pass the documented prerequisite checks.
  3. Required versions fall within approved version ranges.
  4. Required shell, DDS, IDL generation, container, runtime language, build, test, and documentation tools are available where the applicable role or environment requires them.
  5. Optional tools are identified as optional and do not block the Baseline unless the selected workflow depends on them.
  6. Environment validation produces clear output and a meaningful exit code.
  7. Environment validation Evidence is stored in the approved Evidence location when required for acceptance.
  8. The environment does not depend on undocumented local paths, shell profiles, editor settings, globally installed packages, or personal machine configuration.
