Each IDL and generated type mapping SHALL identify the source IDL file.

Part 4, Section 21.6: Information Structure Mapping Requirements.

The source IDL file is the governed source artifact from which the applicable IDL structure and generated implementation types originate.

Identifying that file supports repeatability, change review, generation control, and repository governance.

This requirement applies to:

• IDL structures;
• generated types;
• governed source IDL files; and
• generated-file metadata.

Verification SHALL confirm that each IDL and generated type mapping identifies its source IDL file.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

• the source IDL file exists in an approved repository location;
• the mapped IDL structure is defined in the identified source file;
• generated types derive from that governed definition; and
• source-file changes are reviewable.

This requirement establishes the governed source-file relationship for Phase 0 IDL structures and generated types.
