The Logical Control Plane SHALL support operational coordination among FX logical Nodes.

Part 3, Section 17.7: FX Runtime Plane Requirements.

The Logical Control Plane provides the architectural capability for coordinating the behavior of FX logical Nodes. It supports the logical exchange of operational control information, enabling Nodes to coordinate activities, manage operational state, and perform runtime interactions while remaining independent of any implementation technology, communication protocol, or deployment mechanism.

Maintaining this capability as a distinct Runtime Plane preserves separation of concerns and ensures that operational coordination remains independent of domain information exchange and other Runtime Plane responsibilities.

This requirement applies to the Logical Control Plane defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

• operational coordination;
• logical Node interactions;
• Runtime Plane architecture;
• architectural governance; and
• derived Implementation Profiles.

Verification SHALL confirm that the Logical Control Plane supports operational coordination among FX logical Nodes.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

• operational coordination responsibilities are defined;
• participating logical Nodes are able to coordinate operationally;
• operational coordination remains logically separated from other Runtime Plane responsibilities; and
• implementation technologies are not prescribed.

This requirement defines the architectural responsibility of the Logical Control Plane within the FX Runtime Plane model.
