Return to Requirements

Statement

Each FX logical information structure SHALL identify its logical purpose, primary Runtime Plane, producing Node or Node Role, consuming Node or Node Role, governance constraints, traceability relationships, and evidence expectations.

Source

Part 3, Section 17.6: FX Logical Information Requirements.

Rationale

An FX logical information structure represents more than a collection of data elements. It defines the architectural meaning of information by identifying its purpose, the Runtime Plane in which it primarily exists, the logical Nodes or Node Roles responsible for producing and consuming it, the governance constraints that apply, the traceability relationships that connect it to other architectural elements, and the evidence expectations associated with its lifecycle.

Capturing these characteristics enables each logical information structure to serve as a complete architectural description while remaining independent of implementation technologies, programming languages, serialization formats, and deployment environments.

Applies To

This requirement applies to every FX logical information structure defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

Verification

Verification SHALL confirm that each FX logical information structure identifies all required architectural characteristics.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

Traceability

This requirement establishes the complete architectural definition required for each FX logical information structure within the FX Demo Logical Profile.
