The FX Demo Logical Profile SHALL define FX logical Node Roles.

Part 3, Section 17.4: FX Logical Node Role Requirements.

FX logical Node Roles define the logical responsibilities performed within the Foreign Exchange Domain independently of implementation technologies. Defining logical Node Roles provides the architectural abstraction required to allocate responsibilities consistently across logical Nodes while preserving the platform-independent architecture established by Parts 1 and 2.

Without defined logical Node Roles, the logical architecture would not consistently identify the responsibilities necessary to support governance, interoperability, traceability, and subsequent Implementation Profiles.

This requirement applies to the definition, review, maintenance, interpretation, and evolution of the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

• logical Node Role definitions;
• logical architectural modeling;
• Domain Logical Profile development; and
• Implementation Profiles derived from the FX Demo Logical Profile.

Verification SHALL confirm that the FX Demo Logical Profile explicitly defines FX logical Node Roles.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

• logical Node Roles are identified;
• logical Node Roles are used to describe architectural responsibilities;
• logical Node Roles are platform independent; and
• no conflicting logical responsibility model is defined.

This requirement establishes traceability between the Part 2 Logical Architecture and the FX logical Node Roles defined by the FX Demo Logical Profile.
