The FX Demo Logical Profile SHALL specialise the Part 2 Distributed Node-Based Logical Architecture / PIM for the Foreign Exchange Domain.

Part 3, Section 17.2: FX Domain Profile Requirements.

The FX Demo Logical Profile establishes the logical architecture for the Foreign Exchange Domain by specialising the generic Distributed Node-Based Logical Architecture / PIM defined in Part 2. Specialisation enables the architecture to introduce Foreign Exchange-specific logical Nodes, Node Roles, Communication Endpoints, information structures, Runtime Plane participation, governance relationships, and interaction patterns while preserving the architectural principles inherited from the parent logical architecture.

Without this specialization, different implementations could define incompatible logical architectures for the same business domain, reducing interoperability, governance consistency, traceability, and architectural reuse.

This requirement applies to the definition, review, maintenance, interpretation, and evolution of the FX Demo Logical Profile.

It applies specifically to:

• the overall organization of the FX Demo Logical Profile;
• Foreign Exchange logical architectural modeling;
• the definition of Foreign Exchange logical elements; and
• all Implementation Profiles derived from the FX Demo Logical Profile.

Verification SHALL confirm that the FX Demo Logical Profile is explicitly defined as a specialization of the Part 2 Distributed Node-Based Logical Architecture / PIM.

Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:

• the profile identifies Part 2 as its parent Logical Architecture;
• Foreign Exchange-specific logical elements extend rather than replace the parent architecture;
• no conflicting logical architecture is introduced; and
• architectural consistency with Part 2 is preserved.

This requirement establishes traceability between the Part 2 Logical Architecture / PIM and the FX Demo Logical Profile.
