Return to Part 1 Requirements

A later part that introduces a new conceptual term SHALL identify its relationship to the conceptual architecture defined in this part.

Part 1, Section 13.10: Profile and Layering Requirements.

New conceptual terms introduced in later parts extend or specialize the conceptual architecture. Identifying the relationship to Part 1 prevents unmanaged conceptual growth and preserves alignment with the existing conceptual model.

This requirement supports conceptual governance, traceability, and controlled extension across the document set.

This requirement applies to new conceptual terms introduced in later parts.

It applies specifically to relationships such as:

• Specialization
• Extension
• Refinement
• Constraint
• Related concept
• Derived concept

Verification SHALL confirm that each new conceptual term introduced in a later part identifies its relationship to the conceptual architecture defined in Part 1.

Verification activities include review checks confirming that:

• New conceptual terms identify related Part 1 concepts
• New conceptual terms state the relationship type where applicable
• New conceptual terms do not redefine existing conceptual terms
• New conceptual terms preserve traceability to the conceptual architecture
