Note

An Operational Lifecycle State identifies the operational subject's position within its Operational Lifecycle.

An Operational Lifecycle State does not represent the complete configuration, resource inventory, runtime condition, or observed technical condition of the operational subject.

An operational subject progresses from one Operational Lifecycle State to another through a permitted transition when the applicable transition conditions are satisfied.

The plural display text Operational Lifecycle States refers to multiple instances of this singular concept.

Example

An Infrastructure Environment occupies the Operational Lifecycle State Deployed after its deployment transition completes, and the conditions defined for the Deployed state are satisfied.

An activation event transitions the Infrastructure Environment from the Deployed state to the Operational state when the applicable transition conditions are satisfied.
