NOD-004c — Confirm Node Readiness

Go to NOD-004 — Control the Node Lifecycle

Statement

The DIDO-TE SHALL confirm the readiness of each Node before the Node participates in Test Execution.

Derived From

Rationale

Node readiness identifies whether a started Node satisfies the conditions required to perform its assigned role within a Test Environment.

A completed start operation establishes that the startup procedure reached an endpoint. It does not demonstrate that the Node has initialized its required services, established its Node Bindings, obtained required resources, reached a stable operating state, or satisfied the applicable Test Definition.

Readiness criteria derive from the Node Definition, Node Implementation, Node Configuration, Test Definition, and Test Environment.

Confirming readiness prevents a partially initialized, degraded, incompatible, unstable, or otherwise unsuitable Node from affecting Test Inputs, other Nodes, Test Resources, Test Results, or the integrity of Test Execution.
