Test Activity Record

A Test Activity Record represents the information selected from a Test Run for subsequent playback. It may preserve selected Test Inputs, test events, event-occurrence order, event times, and the applicable time basis.

A Test Activity Record identifies the Test Run from which the recorded activity originated. A later playback Test Run references the Test Activity Record used for playback while retaining its own identity, execution context, results, Provenance, and Traceability.

A Test Activity Record is an information object, not the process of recording test activity. It also remains distinct from the originating Test Run, the playback Test Run, and Evidence. Recorded activity becomes Evidence only when it is governed and used as Evidence under the applicable requirements.

Specialized from Record for DIDO-TE Record and Playback requirements and derived from [DTE1] U.S. Patent Application US20220237111A1, recording and playback of test activity

A Test Activity Record need not contain every activity from the originating Test Run. The applicable recording policy or Test Definition identifies the activity selected for playback.

The term recording describes the process that creates or adds information to a Test Activity Record. It should not be used as the name of the resulting information object.

Playback of a Test Activity Record does not guarantee that the playback Test Run produces the same behavior, state, or Test Results as the originating Test Run. Playback deviations are recorded separately.

A Test Activity Record preserves the Test Inputs, event-occurrence order, and relative event timing selected from Test Run TR-2026-0042 for use during a later playback Test Run.
