A generated type realises an implementation-language representation of an [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:i:idl|IDL]] structure.

The generated type supports publication, subscription, processing, [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:v:validation|Validation]], recording, replay, or other implementation activity. It does not redefine the IDL structure or the FX logical information structure represented by the IDL structure.

Generated types must remain [[dido:99_annexes:annex-b-terms-and-definitions:t:traceability|Traceable]] to their source IDL structures and related FX logical information structures. Generated files must follow the generated-file rules defined by the Phase 0 Developer Handbook.
