6.1 Overview
Go To FX Demo Logical Node Model
The FX Demo Logical Node Model specializes the Part 2 Logical Node Model for the Foreign Exchange Domain.
An FX logical Node represents a platform-independent participant in the FX Demo Logical Profile. Each FX logical Node performs one or more FX logical Node Roles, participates in one or more FX logical Runtime Planes, uses one or more FX logical Communication Endpoints, and handles one or more FX logical information structures.
The FX Demo Logical Node Model identifies logical responsibilities before later parts select execution mechanisms or deployment mechanisms. Part 4 maps FX logical Nodes to implementation artifacts. Part 5 deploys, tests, observes, and provides Evidence for those implementation artifacts.
The FX Demo Logical Node Model does not prescribe processes, services, containers, pods, virtual machines, libraries, threads, tasks, RPC endpoints, REST resources, DDS participants, or deployment artifacts. Implementation and deployment profiles select those realization mechanisms.
Figure 6-1 summarises the primary FX logical Nodes used by the FX Demo Logical Profile.
