6.7 Classification Governance

Go to Top

Classification Governance ensures that authors deliberately introduce new Ecosystems and Domains.

A later part or profile can introduce a new financial Ecosystem or Domain only when the existing Classification Path does not cover the intended business or Semantic scope.

When a later part introduces a new financial classification, it can identify:

  • Parent Ecosphere
  • Parent Ecosystem, where applicable
  • New Domain
  • Reason the new classification is needed
  • Relationship to existing classifications
  • Parts, profiles, implementation artefacts, deployment artefacts, or Evidence packages that use the new classification

Classification governance prevents local implementation choices from creating unintended financial-domain classifications.
