P2-REQ-16-9-006
Statement
Logical Data Structure Traceability SHALL relate logical information structures and instances to definitions, Logical Nodes, endpoints, Runtime Planes, governance constraints, Logical Information Lineage, and Evidence expectations.
Source
Part 2, Section 16.9: Logical Traceability Requirements.
Rationale
Logical Data Structure Traceability preserves the relationships among logical information, the architectural elements that create and exchange it, and the governance rules that apply to it. This traceability supports lifecycle analysis, auditability, and evidence planning while preserving platform independence.
Applies To
This requirement applies to Logical Data Structure Traceability.
It applies specifically to:
-
Logical Data Structure Definitions;
-
Logical Data Structure Instances;
-
Logical Nodes;
-
Logical Communication Endpoints; and
-
Logical Information Lineage.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that Logical Data Structure Traceability relates logical information to the architectural elements that define and use it.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
definitions and instances are related;
-
Runtime Plane participation is identified;
-
governance constraints are preserved; and
-
Logical Information Lineage supports traceability.
Traceability
This requirement supports traceability between logical information structures and the architectural elements that define, exchange, and govern them.
