P2-REQ-16-9-003
Statement
The Logical Traceability Model SHALL define Logical Node Traceability, Logical Endpoint Traceability, Logical Data Structure Traceability, Logical Runtime Plane Traceability, Logical Interaction Traceability, and Logical Evidence Traceability.
Source
Part 2, Section 16.9: Logical Traceability Requirements.
Rationale
The Logical Traceability Model is composed of several complementary traceability relationships that collectively describe how logical elements relate to one another and to the broader architecture. Defining these traceability categories establishes a complete and consistent framework for architectural review, governance, and lifecycle management.
Applies To
This requirement applies to the Logical Traceability Model.
It applies specifically to:
-
Logical Node Traceability;
-
Logical Endpoint Traceability;
-
Logical Data Structure Traceability;
-
Logical Runtime Plane Traceability;
-
Logical Interaction Traceability; and
-
Logical Evidence Traceability.
Verification
Verification SHALL confirm that each required Logical Traceability relationship is defined.
Verification activities should include review checks confirming that:
-
each traceability category is explicitly defined;
-
traceability relationships are complete;
-
traceability supports governance and review; and
-
later profiles preserve the Logical Traceability Model.
Traceability
This requirement supports traceability between the Logical Traceability Model and its constituent traceability relationships.
