ENV-003e — Provision Required Test Resources
Statement
Before each Test Execution, the DIDO-TE SHALL provision each Test Resource specified by the controlled descriptive information governing the applicable Test Environment.
Derived From
-
[DTE5] DIDO-TE Requirements Register, source requirement identifier and obligation to be assigned
Rationale
Provisioning the required Test Resources supplies the infrastructure, services, software, data, devices, credentials, storage, network capacity, and supporting capabilities required by a Test Execution.
Each provisioned Test Resource must correspond to the type, quantity, capacity, version, location, and Configuration specified by the controlled descriptive information.
Controlled provisioning prevents missing, unsuitable, incorrectly configured, or unapproved resources from affecting Test Execution or the interpretation of the resulting Test Results.
Applies To
Verification
Verification confirms that:
-
The controlled descriptive information identifies each Test Resource required for the Test Execution.
-
The controlled descriptive information specifies the required type, quantity, capacity, version, location, Configuration, and availability of each Test Resource.
-
The DIDO-TE provisions each required Test Resource before Test Execution.
-
Each provisioned Test Resource corresponds to its specified characteristics.
-
Each provisioned Test Resource is available to the applicable Node, Test Object, or Test Procedure.
-
The provisioned Test Resources exclude unapproved, obsolete, conflicting, and prohibited resources.
-
The DIDO-TE records the identity, version, Configuration, location, provisioning status, and availability of each Test Resource.
-
The DIDO-TE maintains Traceability among each required Test Resource, its specification, its consumer, the Test Environment, and the applicable Test Execution.
-
A missing, unavailable, unsuitable, incorrectly configured, unapproved, obsolete, or untraceable Test Resource constitutes nonconformance with this requirement.
Verification includes:
-
Inspection of the controlled descriptive information identifying each required Test Resource
-
Inspection of the specified characteristics of each Test Resource
-
Observation of Test Resource provisioning
-
Comparison of each provisioned Test Resource with its specified type, quantity, capacity, version, location, and Configuration
-
Confirmation of Test Resource availability to the applicable Node, Test Object, or Test Procedure
-
Inspection for unapproved, obsolete, conflicting, and prohibited Test Resources
-
Inspection of Test Resource identity, version, Configuration, location, provisioning-status, and availability records
-
Inspection of Traceability records connecting each Test Resource to its specification, consumer, Test Environment, and Test Execution
-
A negative assessment using a missing, unavailable, unsuitable, incorrectly configured, unapproved, obsolete, or untraceable Test Resource
-
Confirmation that the negative assessment produces a nonconformance result
