ENV-001a — Define Test Environment Purpose
Statement
The DIDO-TE SHALL record the purpose of each Test Environment as controlled information.

Rationale
The recorded purpose establishes why a Test Environment exists and provides context for interpreting its composition, Configuration, and use.
The purpose also supports evaluation of whether the Test Environment is appropriate for an applicable Test Definition and whether resulting Evidence relates to the intended testing activity.

Verification confirms that:

Each Test Environment has a recorded purpose.

The recorded purpose identifies why the Test Environment exists.

The DIDO-TE controls the recorded purpose.

The absence of a recorded purpose constitutes nonconformance with this requirement.
Verification includes:

Inspection of the controlled information for each Test Environment

Confirmation that the information contains the purpose of the Test Environment

A negative assessment using a Test Environment without a recorded purpose

Confirmation that the negative assessment produces a nonconformance result
