The checkPrerequisites.sh script should verify that the developer or test environment satisfies the required Phase 0 prerequisites before setup, generation, build, run, or acceptance tasks proceed.

The script should check required tools and environment assumptions, including:

1. Git availability.
2. Supported shell environment.
3. Required DDS tooling.
4. Required IDL compiler or type-generation tool.
5. Required container runtime.
6. Required Python environment or interpreter.
7. Required Java, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, or other runtime language tools.
8. Required build tools and package managers.
9. Required Repository directories.
10. Required Configuration templates.
11. Required environment variables, where applicable.

The script should distinguish required tools from optional tools. Missing required tools should cause failure. Missing optional tools should produce warnings unless the requested workflow depends on them.

The script should align with the applicable tool Baseline checklist instance. It should verify the selected products, platforms, version ranges, and role-specific requirements for the environment under test.
