18.8 Script and Repository Traceability

Go To Phase 0 Implementation Traceability Model

Script and repository traceability relates Phase 0 scripts and repository locations to the implementation concerns they support.

A script trace must identify:

  1. Script name
  2. Script purpose
  3. Artifacts affected by the script
  4. Inputs required by the script
  5. Outputs produced by the script
  6. Repository locations affected
  7. Generated artifacts affected where applicable
  8. Configuration artifacts affected where applicable
  9. Implementation participants started or stopped where applicable
  10. Logging and error-handling conventions applied
  11. Developer Handbook rules applied
  12. Review record confirming baseline status

A repository trace must identify:

  1. Repository location
  2. Artifact category contained there
  3. Whether the artifacts are governed source, generated, configured, documented, temporary, local, or non-baseline
  4. Applicable Developer Handbook rules
  5. Applicable review expectations
  6. Relationship to implementation mappings or logical elements where applicable

Script and repository traceability prevents automation and directory structure from becoming hidden architecture. Scripts and repository paths support implementation work; they do not redefine logical elements.
