16.2 Script Role in Phase 0

Go To Phase 0 Script and Execution Model

Phase 0 uses scripts to make repeatable implementation tasks explicit.

Scripts may support:

  1. Prerequisite checking
  2. Repository preparation
  3. IDL validation
  4. Generated type creation
  5. Configuration validation
  6. Build preparation
  7. Implementation node startup
  8. Implementation node shutdown
  9. Multi-node execution
  10. Cleanup of temporary artifacts
  11. Log collection
  12. Developer workflow checks

A script may automate implementation activity, but it does not change the architectural meaning of the artifacts it affects. For example, a script that starts a validation participant does not redefine the FX Validation Node. A script that generates types from IDL does not redefine the FX logical information structures represented by those IDL definitions.
