15.10 Traceability Convention Requirements

Go To Phase 0 Developer Handbook Requirements

The Developer Handbook must define Traceability conventions for Phase 0 implementation artifacts.

Traceability conventions must identify how contributors record relationships among:

  1. Part 3 FX logical elements
  2. Part 4 implementation artifacts
  3. DDS Topics
  4. IDL structures
  5. Generated types
  6. Hand-authored source files
  7. Configuration files
  8. Scripts
  9. QoS profiles
  10. Logging categories
  11. Exception-handling patterns
  12. Repository locations
  13. Review records

Traceability conventions must support forward and backward review. Reviewers must be able to trace from a Part 3 FX logical element to the Phase 0 implementation artifact that realizes it, and from a Phase 0 implementation artifact back to the FX logical element or implementation concern that justifies it.
