Logical compatibility determines whether independently defined architectural elements can operate together while preserving their intended meaning and governance characteristics. Identifying compatibility at the logical level ensures that interoperability, traceability, governance, and evidence expectations are maintained without dependence on implementation technologies or runtime environments.
Maintaining compatibility as an architectural concern enables multiple Implementation Profiles to realize equivalent behaviour while preserving the integrity of the logical architecture.
